Group road test – Lexus IS 250 F Sport vs new Mercedes C 180 W205 and BMW 320i F30, Cadillac ATS

2014 Drive-My

Giant group road test drive – all new Japan car 2015 Lexus IS 250 F Sport vs new Germany 2015 Mercedes C 180 W205 and 2015 BMW 320i F30, 2015 Cadillac ATS as an USA. So what about the others? Infiniti Q50 has only 364 h.p., it doesn’t suit us, Audi A4 is too obsolete to be of any interest, and Volvo S60 has already failed to impress us.

So the road in front of our Mercedes C 180 W205 seems to be absolutely clear as we roam forward and make a sharp turn left… but stop! There seems to be something on the horizon. The most obvious rival is, of course, BMW 320i F30, but we should also take into consideration the new Cadillac ATS. And Lexus IS 250 F Sport, lurking in the shadow of “the American”, should not be left aside, because our tests have proven him a worthy opponent. By the way, the hybrid version IS 300h series III, forced out Volvo S60 T6 during the try-out. Still something is wrong, but what is it? Ok, let’s try one more time!

The new Mercedes has a lot in common with S-class W222. This similarity with the flagship model is quite an advantage for the owners of the new car. But AMG package looks a bit weird with lifted car. The choice should be between AMG and a package for bad road conditions. Here, take a look.
