    British designer Afzal Kahn has turned his hand to the latest Range Rover Vogue, releasing a range of aftermarket parts under the Black Label badge. Showcased adorning a Santorini Black model with a 3.0-litre TDV6 engine, highlights include a set of 22- or 23-inch RS600 alloy wheels designed in-house. These fill the Range Rover’s massive wheelarches and sit in front of Liquid Gold brake calipers.

With number one stored at the British Motor Museum at Gaydon, members of the Project Jay Preservation Group (project Jay was the code name used for the Disco’s development programme) are keen to locate as many of the early G registered Discoverys that were used at the press and dealer launch in Plymouth in 1989.

    Land Rover Classic has begun the assembly of a one-off Land Rover Defender with a dramatic entrance at Selfridges in London, entering the famous London department store through a first-floor window. The unique Selfridges Edition Defender Works V8 will form the centrepiece of the new-look menswear department at the flagship Oxford Street store, but not before technicians from Land Rover Classic reassemble the vehicle in full view of shoppers. To fit through the first-floor window, the specially-commissioned Defender was dismantled before being rebuilt by a team of experts over the following four days. Put under a protective cover while Selfridges puts the finishing touches to its new menswear department, it will be revealed as part of the official opening on October 29.
