Models that have been discontinued this month in UK

Here is a rundown of the models that have been discontinued this month, helping you to avoid buying an out-of-date car. Showroom salesmen will be super keen to shift them and won’t necessarily be quite as willing to share with you that you are buying an obsolete model. But there are times when runout models make a good buy thanks to heaps of equipment, and heavy discounts and incentives to get the old models onto the driveways of owners and off the dealer forecourts. Armed with this information you’ll be ahead of most car buyers and use it to negotiate yourself a significant discount off the list price. It’s another bumper month for models being discontinued with all diesel versions of the Dacia Sandero and Logan no longer available for factory order, and all iterations of the DS 3, DS 4 and DS 5 restricted to cars in stock only. Audi’s A6 saloon departs from the price lists thanks to an all-new model arriving soon and Honda’s CR-V is now on runout now that production has ended at Honda’s Swindon factory.

GOING, GOING, GONE MARKETPLACE

The Ford S-MAX and Galaxy now has a revised line-up of Euro-6d Temp engines, with the outgoing powerplants no longer available. The Kia Cee’d, pro_Cee’d, Optima and Sportage have all been replaced by new models, and the Stonic 2 and First Edition have been replaced by a single 3 model. Mazda’s CX-5 has been revised, with new WLTP-tested engines, and Mercedes-Benz’s newly launched X-Class in X 250 d Power guise has been discontinued. Renault’s Kadjar range has been shaken up with a new dCi 115 edition replacing both 1.5- and 1.6-litre dCi engines and SEAT has taken a fresh look at its entire model range, axing a wide range of models, and re-aligning them so that they are better equipped, with fewer optional extras available. Toyota’s Verso is no longer available, and Subaru has axed all diesel models from its UK line-up. Finally, Toyota’s Hilux Invincible X model is only available as an automatic now, with the manual version discontinued.
