The rakish BMW X2 might only just have gone on sale, but fans of the low-slung SUV can already buy a selection of modifications from Swiss tuner Dahler, altering the way the crossover looks and drives.
TUNING NEWS EARLY BIRD 2019 BMW X2 F39 POWER AND SUSPENSION UPGRADES
There’s no bodykit yet, but you’d hardly know given the change in visual attitude when lowered suspension and 20- or 21-inch wheels fill the X2’s wheelarches to bursting point. The sport springs and dampers have been “carefully tuned” and Dahler claims they significantly reduce body roll and sensitivity to side winds, without making the ride uncomfortably firm. The suspension height and stiffness can also be adjusted.
Software tuning for the diesel X2 F39 engines includes a power increase for the 2.0-litre 18d from 148 to 172bhp and a jump from 188bhp to 217bhp for the X2 20d with 444lb ft of torque. Customers can also add a Dahler branded sports exhaust and even choose the style of tailpipes that suits them best.
