A Jaguar XE 300 Sport has established a lap record for a production saloon at the original Circuit de Charade, Clermont-Ferrand, in France. The five-mile circuit – which includes public road sections – hosted the French Grand Prix in 1965, 1969, 1970 and 1972. It fell out of favour as loose volcanic rock and the lack of any real run-off areas took their toll on cars and drivers alike.
The E-Pace is now available with a raft of new updates that will no doubt make it to the rest of the range in the near future.

Avec la F-Type, Jaguar propose une alternative intéressante à la Porsche 911. Elle offre un style fort, et une généreuse gamme de motorisations allant du petit 4 cylindres turbo 2,0 l 300 ch jusqu’au V8 compressé de 5 l et 575 ch. Savoureuse à piloter en V6, elle devient brutale en version V8, même si cette dernière n’offre désormais plus qu’une transmission intégrale et abandonne la propulsion (contrairement au 6 cylindres).

Jaguar has revealed the new XE Reims Edition, only available in the UK and limited to just 200 units. Named in honour of the famous Reims- Geux circuit in Northern France where the D-type took its maiden victory in 1954, the Reims Edition comes exclusively with the 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol (P250) engine in R-Dynamic S guise and is fitted with a number of bespoke and standardised options. Each of the 200 units will be painted in French Racing Blue (previously only used on Jaguar’s most extreme models, the XKR-S and XFR-S), with a number of unique contrasting elements including a black contrast roof, black mirror caps, black sill inserts and fitted with 19in, five split-spoke, gloss black alloys.

A new British engineering specialist, Lunaz, has revealed details of an electric conversion for the XK 120, building a prototype based on a 1953 FHC. The car is powered by twin motors that produce 700NM (516lb ft) from zero engine speed and 375bhp, and features an 80kWh battery pack made up from brand-new automotive-quality lithium ion battery cells, built in-house by Lunaz.
