AMG alphabet soup. Updates and new models in the 2019 Mercedes-AMG GT stable: an acronymic extravaganza.
Mercedes-AMG’s formidable GT has undergone myriad changes for 2019, including the addition of the hardcore 2019 AMG GT R Pro C190 (pictured). This apex member of the family features the same 430 kW/700 N.m 4,0-litre twin-turbo engine from the GT R but adds configurable coil-over suspension, enhanced aerodynamics, a wealth of carbon-fibre-composite components and ceramic brakes. Performance is mind-warping, with 0-100 km/h despatched in 3,6 seconds on the way to a 318 km/h top speed.
In the realm of the stock GT, GT C and GT R, there are a host of subtle exterior tweaks, including new light arrays and alloy wheel designs. They also adopt some elements first seen on the GT 4-Door Coupé, such as its digital instrument display and optional Brilliant Blue Magno paintwork and two-tone leather upholstery.
