Police the world over have taken to electric vehicles, including London’s own Metropolitan Police who trialled the BMW i3. The latest force to go electric are the Luxembourg Police, who have added two Tesla Model S to their fleet. Key in their decision making was the Model S’ accelerative performance, which should help nab criminals. “Police cannot use a 2CV on the motorway, they need a car that can move fast,” Francois Bausch told state broadcaster RTL.
