Vickers Wellington bombers in production at Brooklands in 1939-the fuselage was built on the geodetic principle devised by Barnes Wallis for the R100 airship and could withstand serious damage in action; inside the Bellman ‘Wellington... Hangar’, which was designed as a temporary wartime structure, and is therefore not ideal for the storage of early aircraft. It will be environmentally upgraded when moved to its new position. More
