2019 Skoda Karoq Scout and Sportline broaden SUV range… The Skoda Karoq Scout has been revealed, boasting tougher looks and off-road equipment including standard four-wheel drive. It will join the Octavia and Kodiaq Scout, which both get similar features and a rough terrain package to ensure they can head competently offroad. If you’d rather stick to tarmac, it has been joined by the Karoq SportLine with a racier appearance.
Offroad kehrt in manchen Bereichen zurück (siehe Mercedes GLE), in anderen reicht „auf Offroad getrimmt“. Zum Beispiel bei Škodas derzeitigem Einstiegs-SUV. Immerhin: Allrad obligat.
This is the Skoda Kodiaq GT – a sleeker version of the flagship Czech SUV with a coupé-like roofline. Don’t head to your nearest dealership just yet, though, because the GT is also the first Skoda model to be exclusively sold in China. From the front you would be hard-pressed to tell the GT apart from the five- and seven-seater, but the sloping roof and short C-pillar give the GT a sporty look missing from the standard SUV.

Škoda celebrates 60 years of the Octavia name in 2019, with more than 500,000 examples having found homes in the UK since the very first model rolled onto our roads in 1959. The eighth post-war car to be designed and built at Mladá Boleslav, the Octavia took its name from the Latin word for eight – octo. In terms of design and engineering, the Octavia featured the same advanced tubular backbone chassis design as its predecessor (the 440/445) but introduced more sophisticated coil spring suspension that transformed the driving experience.
The new ŠKODA Kodiaq GT was presented to the public for the first time at Auto Guangzhou in China (16-26 November 2018). The Czech brand’s first SUV coupé is the new standard bearer in China with its strong and dynamic appearance, state-of-the-art connectivity and innovative assistance systems.
Visitors to Skoda’s Paris show stand are in for a treat, thanks to a surprise new Vision RS hot hatch concept that will sit alongside the production-ready Kodiaq vRS. If you like hot Skodas, it’s a further sign that exciting models are set to emerge from the Czech brand over the next few years, as it looks to exploit its motorsport pedigree.
A range-topping Kodiaq Laurin & Klement is now available to order in the UK, with prices starting at £35,945 for the 148bhp 2.0-litre TDI 4x4 manual. A DSG automatic transmission is available for £1,300, while the more powerful 188bhp edition of the engine costs £38,105. All models feature four-wheel-drive and come fitted with seven seats. Designed to sit above the Edition model that has been the flagship up until now, the new L&K model is designed to honour the company’s founders, Václav Laurin and Václav Klement.

Skoda has announced full details for its Scala family hatchback ahead of its arrival in the coming months. It’s based on the same MQB A0 platform as the VW Polo and SEAT Ibiza, but sized to take on the Ford Focus and provide an alternative for Octavia customers, with competitive pricing and a more youthful design. The Scala brings with it a subtle new design language and infotainment system, along with a host of safety features. Measuring 4,362mm long, the Scala sits between the Octavia and Golf in size and has looks inspired by Skoda’s Vision RS concept. There are sharp lines, and the replacement for the Rapid Spaceback pays tribute with a distinctive rear windscreen that extends onto the hatchback, but now with Skoda lettering instead of a roundel. Full LED head and tail lights will be available, along with a panoramic sunroof. Alloy wheels range in size from 16- to 18-inches, with three new designs finished in gloss black and aerodynamically optimised to help the Scala achieve its low 0.29 Cd drag co-efficient.
