We aren’t entirely sure that Porsche is too keen on keeping the next-generation 911 much of a secret. The latest spy photos don’t really “spy” Porsche’s new supercar as much as they showcase it from every angle. The car isn’t even painted the normal shade of Porsche prototype black, and we will happily admit this new 911 is positively gorgeous in blue. There’s no possible way this car would go unnoticed in public, and we suspect that’s exactly the way Porsche wants it.

On Friday June 29, Timo Bernhard, driving the Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo, lapped the 20.832 km (12.94 miles) Nürburgring Nordschleife race circuit in 5 minutes and 19.55 seconds, beating the previous lap record, set by Stefan Bellof on May 28, 1983, by 51.58 seconds!
