To celebrate the fifth year of the popular Kent-based OhSoRetroShow at the end of September, the organisers are giving away a suitably retro Peugeot 205.
An insurance-friendly 1.0-litre model with just 46,000 miles on the clock, the 1989 car has been stickered up in homage to the original 205 rally cars. A ticket to be entered in the drawer for the car will cost £5 on the day of the event only, with all profits going to the show’s charity, the 1st Margate Boys’ and Girls’ Brigades.
Taking place on Margate seafront, the event is set to play host to more than 1500 classic, vintage and retro cars and bikes, together with a host of club stands and a large trade village. It’s open to pre-1990 cars as a general rule, but all show car passes have already sold out. However, public tickets are still available, with visitors from all over Europe expected to attend.
There will also be a wide variety of show and shine awards, plus live music, children’s entertainment and even a special display of Sinclair C5s. The event will take place on Sunday September 30 at The Rec, Palm Bay Ave, Margate, which is about a five-minute drive from Margate train station. See: www.ohsoretro.co.uk.
