Porsche 911 964 Classic S unveiled by DP Motorsport. DP Motorsport the legendary producers of lightweight 911s and founded by Ekkehard Zimmermann as unveiled its latest package for Porsche 911 964s. By utilising the technology-packed 964 the Overath-based specialist has been able to create a useable sports car that retains the classic 911 look and DP’s ubiquitous ‘Federleichte Elfer’ character.
DP’s 964 Classic S build includes a fibreglass body kit that helps reduce weight. Finished in lime green with a matte black bonnet the new bodywork has also been mildly revised over the original 964 body shape to improve aerodynamics. As well as the eye catching green hue the new car will also be available in yellow. Blood orange and Sport Classic grey.
As well as lightening the exterior panels, inside the Porsche 911 964 Classic S uses DP’b famous ‘lollipop’ style seats, a MOMO steering wheel and colour-matched roll cage. The rev counter dial face is matched to the car’s body colour, while the driver is fastened in thanks to a four-point racing harness.

With its classic motorsport-inspired visuals. DP has ensured that the new car also sees an increase in performance over a standard 964 with power from the 3.6-litre engine boosted to 290bhp. Alternatively, a 330bhp, 3.8-litre unit is also available. Helping to harness this power, it uses adjustable Bilstein dampers with coil springs to improve handling, with Unibal bearings optional.
Finally to complete the retro aesthetic, it sits on a set of 17 inch lightweight forged Fuchs (seven inches at the front and nine at the rear) shod with 205/50/ R17 and 255/50/R17 tyres respectively.
