American kit and replica manufacturer Factory Five recently unveiled its upcoming self assembly supercar, the F9R, to rapturous applause at the world famous SEMA custom car show in Las Vegas. Set to replace the current GTM range, the new halo model features an all-new mid-front-engined architecture that’s designed to take any large or small block Ford V8. But it’s expected that most builds will feature the GM LS family of engines instead, with the concept showcasing Australian outfit Race Cast’s new LS derived 9.5-litre V12 engine – an option available to customers looking to follow classic supercar convention.

The supercar connections don’t end there, however, with the striking carbon composite body being designed by Phil Frank, whose previous supercar credits include the 230mph Saleen S7.
While only a concept at present, the Massachusetts based concern believes it will begin full production later this year, when we may also have news about the future availability of Factory Five kits in the UK. W: www.factoryfive.com
