You can’t have failed to have noticed that rocking a set of turbo fans on your wheels is a seriously good look at the moment. Obviously it’s always been a good look, from the very day an engineer bolted the first set to a (we think) Porsche 935’s front wheel, but in terms of modified car culture, they’ve never been more popular. US wheel gurus Rotiform obviously know a set of fans is a good look too, as they’ve only gone and released what has to be the world’s first set of off-the-shelf fans.

Renowned German tuners ABT have turned their attention to the Audi A4 saloon and Avant, upping power for diesel models and offering exterior modifications to make them look faster, too. If you think the latest A4 looks a little too understated, the upgrades could certainly help it stand out, and upgrades to the 3.0-litre TDI version can liberate more torque than an R8 supercar.

Startech brings symmetry to the 2019 Land Rover Discovery

The asymmetric tailgate of the latest Land Rover Discovery has proved somewhat controversial, but for those that can’t handle its offset number plate, there’s now an aftermarket solution to straighten things out. So what’s the issue? Well, Design Director Gerry McGovern’s styling solution for the Discovery pays tribute to older models by positioning the rear number plate, recess and lights on the left of the tailgate. However, with no spare wheel hung next to it – that disappeared with a previous-generation Discovery – some have found the lack of symmetry rather bothersome.

The R50 Aero’s lineage can be traced back to a Ronal split rim used in Group 5 racing.

Broken wire solution - Schmiedmann harness repair

Star InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar Inactive

Many BMW owners will, sooner or later, experience wiring issues related to the tailgate or boot lid of their cars. According to independent BMW specialist, Schmiedmann, the danger is that, with time and use, the wires in this area of the harness can break. This can then cause several different parts of the car to malfunction, such as the light in the boot, the windscreen wipers, the swivelling tow bar (if fitted), the electric handle for opening the boot lid, and much more besides.
