Prices for the new 2019 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Saloon V177

Prices for the new 2019 Mercedes-Benz A-Class saloon V177 have been announced by Mercedes-Benz, with the booted editions costing £555 more than a comparable hatchback. A choice of Sport or AMG Line trim levels are on offer, each powered by a 114bhp 1.5-litre Renault-sourced engine in A180d V177 guise, with seven-speed twin-clutch automatic transmission.

Manual versions will arrive later, as will more powerful iterations and 4Matic all-wheel- drive. Sharing the same 2,729mm wheelbase, the (177-Series) A-Class saloon is 130mm longer than the hatchback, at 4,549mm long. Standard equipment includes MBUX, Mercedes-Benz’s new infotainment and navigation system, as well as cruise control, LED headlights and rear clusters, a drive mode selector, reversing camera, dual-zone climate control, keyless start and half faux-leather upholstery. There’s also DAB radio, Bluetooth connectivity, lane keep assist, seven airbags, a pedestrian deployable bonnet, driver drowsiness detection and autonomous emergency braking. Sport models have 17-inch alloy wheels, while AMG Line versions are an inch larger, as well as featuring a bodystyling kit, chrome pins in the front grille, sports seats, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, floor mats with red edge stitching and AMG lettering and metal pedals. The A-Class saloon is available to order now, with the first deliveries expected early next year.
