Another GTO record? RM Sotheby’s is to auction a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO that could break new records. Chassis 3413 GT is the third of only 36 examples of the 250 GTO ever produced. It began its life as a Series I and was driven by Phil Hill in the 1962 Targa Florio race. It won nine of 10 races in 1962, securing the Italian National GT championship. It also won its class at the 1963 and 1964 Targa Florio. It retains its original engine, gearbox, and rear axle, and has a factory Series II body, created by Scaglietti in 1964.
