Twenty-three years after the first Longtail, the 765LT continues the legacy as the fourth McLaren to don this revered moniker.
THE NEXT CHAPTER
An amalgamation of percentages, the 765LT is a 720S – the quickest-accelerating vehicle in-gear CAR has ever tested – in its purest form, with 25% more downforce, an active rear wing with a 20% greater surface area and 15% quicker in-gear acceleration. The 765LT employs an uprated version of the Woking firm’s familiar 4,0-litre twin-turbo-petrol V8, coupled with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, and gains a titanium exhaust system; F1-grade transmission composites; thinner, polycarbonate glazed glass; while ditching air-con and infotainment. The result: the most focused car in McLaren’s Super Series range.
