Mini goes full-on EV for its 60th birthday
The three-door Mini SE is the firm’s first proper EV, featuring a 32,6 kWh lithium-ion battery feeding an electric motor worth 135 kW and 270 N.m. This unit can be charged via a domestic wall socket, fast-charger wallbox or public charging station, and offers an operating range of up to 270 km. It also helps the SE retain the nippiness for which its stablemates are renowned, with 0-100 km/h arriving in 7,3 seconds and a 150 km/h top speed. Inside, the SE features model-specifi c takes on a 5,5-inch TFT instrument cluster, gear-selector lever and an electric parking switch on the centre console.
