The new Gixxer SF 150 was launched alongside the Gixxer SF 250. The 155-cc bike is priced at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom), making it Rs 12,000 more expensive than the current model.
The new Gixxer SF 150 is similar to the SF 250 in terms of styling and gets a new fairing that sports sharp-looking LED headlights. Other upgrades include a split-seat configuration compared to the single seat on the older model. It now gets clip-on handlebars which changes the riding posture slightly and the new instrument cluster sports a different layout now.
The SF 150 is still is powered by a 154.9-cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, but now makes 14.1 PS and 14 Nm of torque, which is slightly lesser than the older model. Hardware such as the suspension and brakes remains the same. The SF 150 will use the same 41-mm telescopic fork and monoshock, with disc brakes at both ends. Suzuki say that they have strengthened the frame on the new bike with a thicker centre tube and retuned the suspension slightly. Single-channel ABS is being offered as standard.
