F1 cars for Shelsley Superb F1 display set for Classic Nostalgia festival.
Nigel Mansell’s F1 1992 World Championship-winning Williams FW14B will be on show at this year’s Classic Nostalgia festival at Shelsley Walsh on 28-29 July. It will be joined by last year’s FW40, raced by Felipe Massa and Lance Stroll in a centrepiece display of ‘F1 Through the Ages’, showcasing everything from Bugatti Type 35 and BRM P48 to Shadow DN9 and Lotus 101.
As well as the F1 Paddock, there will be competition in the form of a selection of rally cars from the 1980s and ’90s provided by Ralli 22, a collection of classic motorcycles, and pre-1980 cars in action on the famous hill. Parades during the weekend will include future classics, owners’ clubs and ’bikes. The family-focused weekend will also have trade stands, live music, entertainment and food vendors, and classic car clubs.
New for 2018 is Octane’s involvement with the event’s concours. The concours, which has become one of the cornerstones of the weekend, takes place on the Sunday and will be open to the first 100 eligible cars that turn up on the day. A team led by Octane will then select the winners. Also making its debut will be a gala evening on the Saturday with star guests and live music.
